| In striving to achieve his numerous racing successes, Vinnie has also experienced some disappointments and setbacks. As a result of customers’ and fans’ requests, this page is included here to recreate what has been dubbed one of racing’s Worst Crashes. During the opening laps of Wall Stadium’s Turkey Derby in November, 1981, Vinnie (in Modified #44) was going for the lead when he tangled with Tom Baldwin and was driven into the fence. Vinnie’s #44 exploded around him yet he was lucky enough to walk away with only a minor foot injury. Never a quitter, Vinnie went on to rebuild a new car and even today continues to compete in NHRA, NASCAR and road course performance events.
